Tuscany

Tuscany…I don’t know why this word just seems to roll off one’s tongue with such ease and comfort… at least it works for me that way. Can’t explain why I feel this way, but let’s face it: it sure looks awesome on TV! It feels, in more than one way, like California; with dreamy blue sky, piercing sunshine, and of course, the best wine production in the world. But alas, lacking in California is the towering medieval castles, colorful farmhouses, and obviously, the famed Polio horse racing at Piazza del Campo in Siena (Bay Meadows and the like is pale in comparison). Matty told me something about biking tours available in Tuscany, so I will remind myself to check it out.
